Emmy® nominated, Irish singer -producer, Michael Londra has built an international reputation over the past twenty years, having produced and performed in over 60 countries, worldwide.
He was noticed performing in musical theatre by the producers of Riverdance and was offered the role of lead singer in the US National Tour which included performances at Radio City Music Hall and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In March 2000, Michael returned to take the position of lead singer in the new production of Riverdance on Broadway, taking the role from acclaimed Irish singer Brian Kennedy. This was the platform from which Michael’s recording and producing career began.
He appears with Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo, Sarah Brightman and Kathryn Jenkins on the Universal Records Asia 2009 release Arias : Ancora. His first album “Celt” was produced by acclaimed producer Steve Skinner who co-produced the Grammy nominated soundtrack of RENT. The album was released in 15 countries worldwide selling particularly well in Korea where it reached No 1 in the World Music Charts.
His recording of Danny Boy was described by The Irish Emigrant in New York as “One of the best recordings of Danny Boy in history”, with over 8 million views on Youtube.
He performed with Judy Collins at the JFK 50 Events in Ireland in 2013 attended by the Kennedy family and was invited to sing at the graveside of President John F. Kennedy in a ceremony to honour the event.
He has performed as guest singer of Irish supergroups De Dannan & Teada and appeared as guest with Celtic Thunder on their inaugural cruise.
Michael was chosen for the role of Jesus in “The Passion of the Christ Symphony” This production was based on the score by Oscar nominated John Debney and had its US premiere in Hollywood on September 11, 2005.His PBS special, Beyond Celtic which he co-produced with Mindfox Productions, aired nationally over 400 times. The TV special earned two Emmy® nominations.

Michael’s work with partner Jean Clancy on the Celtic Woman project created by Sharon Browne was a turning point in Michael”s career off stage. He has been involved in many productions around the world as an artistic director and producer. He toured Dance of Desire in China and brought Caution: Men at Work and The Spirit of Christmas show, to Asia. He is producer of Celtic Illusion, taking the show around the world including a recent North America tour. He is currently partnered with CEO of Venuworks, Steve Peters. The company, Venuworks Theatricals produced the Christmas musical NOËL by Eoin Colfer and film composerLiam Bates. They recently secured the rights from Warner Brothers to stage the movie musical Summer Stock in 2021.
His new tv show, Ireland with Michael, a travel show with music comes to PBS in April 2021 with guests and performances from Ryan Kelly, Nathan Carter, Chloe Agnew, Beoga and many more.
